vae's blog n stuff

welcome! i'm vance (or vae), and this is my silly lil personal site. i expect that its main use will be the blog, but i'm still just discovering what to do with it as i go along. the site is still just a smol baby, but feel free to look around!

things i hope to add:

  • tutorials to help with your own neocities, like how i made my accessibility menu and font switcher (first tutorial now up!)
  • pages for my OCs??? (now in progress!)
  • lists of my favorite things lol, and/or a "uses" page
  • shrines?? tales of symphonia, CLAMP...
  • actual cute layout with graphics...,,,

(psst... check the github README file for more about changes i plan to make to the site!)

join us!

this site is striving to be part of the web revival! it's all about rejecting the hold that corporate media has over the internet right now, making the web personal and fun again. it's about the idea that the web belongs to all of us. why don't you join us and make a website of your own? not a website for your business or your portfolio--just for fun, just to have your own little place in the world that you can do anything you want with.

neocities.org is a great place to get started! you can make a website completely for free there (with no ads or anything), and there's a great sense of community among neocities users too!

if you're on board, then i'd love to see or hear about your site, especially if it's your first one--feel free to drop a link in my guestbook or otherwise get in touch! i'm always happy to help out folks who are new to making websites, too!

want to experience more of the web revival/indie web/small web? try 32-bit cafe and melonland!

link back

feel free to use this button to link to me! (hotlinking ok if you're on neocities, may break on non-neocities sites)

88x31 button with a sunset-colored gradient and a few sketchy purple stars, and then the word 'entropically' written in a white pixel font.

comments

page comments are powered by giscus! you need to log in with a GitHub account in order to leave a comment on this page. it's free and i would highly encourage everyone, especially my fellow web crafters, to have a GitHub account anyway! however, if you don't want one and still want to comment--or if you want to comment anonymously--you can use the guestbook instead! (just make a note in there about which page/post your comment is meant for, if you're responding to a specific one.)
